Colorado 150 tapestry rfq

Submissions accepted 4.18–5.9.2026

2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 150th anniversary of the State of Colorado—our sesquisemiquincentennial. To celebrate and commemorate the occasion, a private family foundation seeks to commission a tapestry (broadly defined to include large-scale textile) from a Colorado-based artist or artist team that reflects on the state’s past, present and future and the people, places and events that have shaped it. The tapestry will provide a meaningful on-ramp for viewers to engage with Colorado’s history.
